Visiting Lugano

Your spectacular journey will begin from your hotel in Zurich at 08:30 AM and within 45 minutes being on the road you will already see a dramatic beauty the landscape of central Switzerland beholds. Following couple of small stops for quick photoshoots and a short coffee break, our journey will pass Europe’s largest car tunnel and thereafter you will start to experience the landscape has changed and things start to look like as if you are in Italy. At around thirty past eleven we arrive in the beautiful costal city of Lugano.

Located in the Lake shore of Lugano, Lugano is not only the most 3rd most important financial centre but also the largest city in the southern Switzerland’s Italian speaking part and Medeterrian style holiday resort of Ticino. Swiss-Mediterranean mix of cultures is closely related to that of Italy’s northern Lombardy region. This mix is reflected in its architecture and cuisine, parks and palm-trees, villas and casinos, flowers and parks along the blue water Lake Lugano, surrounded by mountains all over. This is a luxury resort of the wealthy and fun for every type of visitors.

Upon arrival in Lugano you will first visit the medieval town square of Piazza della Riforma. It’s considered the city’s elegant “living room” surrounded by old buildings including the Neoclassic Palazzo Civico (Town Hall) and inviting places to take a break. Meeting point for Lugano residents (the luganesi), it hosts big events like the Estival Jazz and is the ideal starting point to visit the city. Visiting Ascona

Following your visit to Lugano you will already be absolutely amazed by now with Lugano; we shall then start our journey to visit picture-perfect town of Ascona. Lake side paradise that’s rich in art and history and situated at the north shore of Lake Maggiore, Ascona is painter’s heaven while a must visit place when in Ticino, due to its stunning beauty and the Lake shore strolling area, covered with boutiques, cafes and restaurants. This will be perfect place for a short coffee break and stroll around this little town and capture some beautiful family portraits. After spending some time with your family at this immaculately beautiful town of Ascona it will be time to visit its neighbour town that’s a little lot bigger and another famous city of Ticino.

Visiting Locarno

Located on Lake Maggiore (Switzerland side) Locarno has a beautiful promenade with lovely views of the Alps and the lake; strolling along the promenade is one of the best things to do with your family in Locarno but this can be done before or after enjoying a relaxing dinner with your family.

Locarno is a city for those who knows how to enjoy themselves. People meet up on the Piazza Grande, especially at open-air concerts or during the famous International Film Festival in August, when thousands of visitors come to the square. The Piazza Grande, the heart of the city, is framed by houses with elegant facades, leafy walkways and pavement cafés.

Locarno offers more than the Piazza Grande; from Locarno there are number of excursions available to visit to some of the most beautiful nature places of Europe, Verzascatal, Verzasca-valley with cool Blue and Turquoise water, Verzasca Dam, Carcada, Madonna del Sasso, just to name a few authentic places mentioned in National geography or seen in James bond movies. Overview of the Day-2 program

This day can become one of the most fascinating and fun day with your family if things are planned and organized carefully and with lots of care.

Your guide will meet you at 09:45 AM at your hotel to begin your exciting sightseeing experience and you will first visit the most fascinating Italian of Verzascatal. We will have over 2 hours of sightseeing fun at the Verzasca valley before heading for Lunch. Following lunch we will have additional couple of hours to cover things from your bucket lists and things you and your family will find worth visiting, before departing for Zurich.

Visiting the Verzasca Valley on day 2

Located in the region adjacent to Locarno district, the Verzasca valley is a paradise for adventurers and romance and comprises the Italian municipalities of Mergoscia, Vogorno, Corippo, Lavertezzo, Brione, Gerra, Frasco, and Sonogno. This is a place where the unspoilt nature, romantic mountain villlages and the ancient traditions come together. You will be absolutely inspired by the inquisitive water features of the Verzasca and taking a walk on the 220-meter-high dam, renowned from the opening scene of James Bond Skyfall movie. Among the most attractive places to visit the Ponte dei Salti is worth a visit. The “Ponte dei salti”, also known as the “Roman Bridge”, leads over the Verzasca River near Lavertezzo and is a stone bridge with two arches, which was built in the Middle Ages.

Upon arrival in Zurich you may want to freshen up and relax at your hotel before you are taken for dinner and brought back to your hotel after your enjoyable dinner.
